We had a fabulous trip to Smithills Farm. Luckily the heavy rain disappeared before we reached the farm. We went on a tractor ride, fed the farm animals, stroked baby animals, saw cows being milked and finally had a donkey ride. A super packed day.

Euro Week - Republic of Ireland
The children enjoyed learning about our neighbours 'Republic of Ireland'. We made group flags and our own individual flags.
We had to concentrate very well to draw the outline of the country Ireland.
We discovered Barnaby Bear had visited Dublin. We created our own maps to guide Barnaby Bear from his hotel to the Chimney which allows people to see the city from a height.
We made shamrocks and decorated them with shades of green tissue paper.
We came into school dressed in the colours of the Irish flag.
We tasted Irish foods such as Soda Bread and Potato Farls. They were delicious!
